I know it's still 50 days away, but I am starting to think about the new baby's arrival, especially if it's a boy or a girl.  I go back and forth.  I usually think it's going to be a girl, but I'll take a boy, too!

Did you hear him say, "Kick it!"?

I apologize for the mess in the office, but we daily have a toddler tornado in our tiny, little townhouse as evidenced by the next pictures.

Believe it or not, I pick up all his toys several times a day...he is just starting to learn to put things away himself. 

Jacob thinks it is fun to take ALL of the condiments out of the fridge and bring them to the table...sometimes he also sucks on the ketchup bottle...I finally got annoyed and moved ALL of them out of reach! 

Who Do I Look Like?

Today is a Sunday...and we stayed home from church.  I took Jacob's temperature, and it was 101.3 rectally, so a VERY mild fever.  However, I just don't want to get the other kids at church sick, so I had to find something to do.  I was going through my wedding slideshow video, and I noticed that Jacob seems to look more like one of us than the other...what do you think?

The first two are me...obviously, and the last two are Larry.  I'm pretty sure that in the formal pictures we are both three--at least I am because I remember taking this picture.  Jacob's only 1 1/2, so he could change. 

Here is one that looks a little like Jacob and Tijs:

 This is Jacob's last formal picture--he would not sit nor stand, so we stuck him in the box, and got a picture before he climbed out!

So, who does he look more like?  I think he looks a lot like both of us--we have many of the same characteristics...white skin, blue eyes, big mouths, blonde hair, big and chubby...

Playing and Talking!

Jacob has a few new loves...running around the backyard, his new car, and talking! Here are all three...sorry about the mess in the backyard; he plays out there constantly! He wants to go out every morning around 8:00, but I make him eat breakfast first. I hope my neighbors don't mind!

Diet Pepsi

When I was upstairs, I heard Jacob playing downstairs by himself. I was thankful for the time I got to spend playing on the computer...Suddenly, I remembered the Diet Pepsi can within his reach. "Oh, well," I thought, "He'll probably make a big mess." When I went downstairs, I saw he was outside, sitting in his car, drinking the rest of the Diet Pepsi!

Cute Cousins!

The other night, we told Jacob and his cousin Tijs to hold hands as we walked out of the restaurant. They did! And they kept holding hands outside. Thankfully, I had my camera to capture their cuteness!
